Advanced Solar Immersion Heating

What Are Power Diverters For?

During its daily cycle a grid connected renewable generator such as solar PV, produces electrical power based on available sunlight. Due to the very nature of this renewable technology the production of power does not always coincide with the demand.

When energy production is greater than the demand, any surplus energy is sent back (or exported) to the national grid where your solar energy is used by someone else. This results in lost savings.

PowerFlow's technologies are designed to divert this excess energy during times of high generation, reducing the amount you export, increasing your savings as well as helping the planet along the way.

Power Diverters are a key accessory for solar PV or wind generators. By accurately measuring your export levels (energy flowing back to the grid) the power diverter can divert this excess energy to control electrical heating loads, such as immersion water heaters or wall mounted space heaters. They do this by cleverly controlling your existing heating element. So, no other equipment is required. This makes power diverters the most cost-effective energy storage solution.

The foundation of our energy control system is F-POINT technology®, an advanced energy control method designed by PowerFlow's engineers in the UK. It allows our power diverters to react to changes in export levels every 200ms, faster than any other product on the market without heat loss.

Thanks to the plug and play system, typical installations take just an hour by a trained electrician.
